Here is a reminder of what I have shared with you over the last month through our Title I Weekly Updates:
Here is information about the Annual Report of Children in Institutions federally Categorized as Neglected or Delinquent (N&D) who:
Receive regular educational programs of instruction in State-operated institutions for students designated as N or D (Subpart 1),
Receive regular educational programs of instruction in State-operated adult correctional institutions (Subpart 1) or
received a regular educational program of instruction in State-operated community day programs (Subpart 1).
Live in local institutions for N&D youth (Subpart 2),
Live in local adult correctional facilities (Subpart 2),
For Federal reporting purposes,
The Subpart 1 official count consists of students enrolled in applicable programs as determined by a date in calendar year 2023—as selected by the State Agency.
For Subpart 2, the official count consists of students enrolled at least one day during a 30-consecutive-day period, with at least one of the days falling within October 2023.
Federal Reporting Due Date
The due date to provide this student count information to hooverj@doe.nv.gov is January 8, 2024.
National Dropout Prevention Conference
From October 15-18, a National Dropout Prevention Conference was held in Orlando, Florida. Here is a summary of its purpose and its sessions:

Attendees can earn credits for National Dropout Prevention Certification and Trauma-Skilled Specialist Certification.
Lastly, I am gathering, preparing, and will ultimately disseminate or otherwise provide online availability to a one-stop shop of resources for TIPD in general and for State Agencies’ (SAs) and Local Education Agencies’ (Subpart 1 and Subpart 2, respectively) use. There will be more to come on this.
